This is one book that most people really dislikes the main character, I could not stand Shari, too. She is a nasty, narcissistic, hateful, woman! I was hoping that someone was going to put her out of her misery, but no such luck, it was one of her lovers that was murdered. I kept wondering why her SUPER RICH husband Tyler Cy would put up with such a bitchy, adulteress, wife?? This story has many twists and turns, it does keep you guessing what is going on with all the characters in this book. You have the rich nasty Shari, the spineless husband Tyler Cy, two lovers; a sexy Latin lover and an old friend, that want Shari (why?), and the Tindra who is the girlfriend of the sexy Latin lover who will do anything to try to keep her man. Shari wants a divorce from Tyler Cy badly and he doesn't want one (WHY, again?), Shari wins a chance to play for one million dollars at The Classic. All the while she is training for The Classic she runs into strange and bad things happening to her. I wanted to feel bad for Shari, but since she is so nasty I didn't feel all that bad for her. I was confused by the ending of the book about who really murdered her lover but I still enjoyed the book and the cast of characters.

Mr Ross develops some interesting and sometimes crazy characters. This is a fun story for a relaxing day at the beach or shore sipping ones favorite drink. A little mystery and a little golf what more could one want. The reader may not like the main character, but there is no denying she is Gem.
I liked this book it had so many twists and turns. I could not believe anyone could be so one sided as Shari. This book reminded me of a Grisham book. I liked it so much I sent it to my daughter

I usually don't forgo sleep for anything but the suspense kept me up. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of the mystery. Well written and just fun!
I have enjoyed all the books this author has written. This was good, but not my favorite. The female protagonist is one that you will love to hate!
Now I never ever expected the finish in this book. Great twists and turns. It kept me turning the page!
This was a pretty good book with some twists and turns you certainly don't see coming. The only violence was them explaining how the murder happened, not actual violence occurring through the book. No explicit sex, just the usual. Shari is a spoiled brat with an attitude to match. I truly did not like her at all. Pretty good read.
It's a story of intrigue and suspense, but it takes place at the golf club and on the course.
