This book is a spin off of an episode of CSI about a killer named Sqweegel and the detectives' journey to try to capture him. It presents a new (or at least new to me) experience of supplementing the reading with videos. The video codes appear at the end of every few chapters. The exceptional part of the videos is Daniel Browning Smith's amazing flexibility...he brings life to the entire story. The only minor flaw that made me rate this a 4 star rather than 5 stars was a few small inconsistencies between the book and videos--most people may not even notice them. I found myself reading chapters until i reached a video, and then the video would make me want to read more. The final video left me wanting to read the next book, but the final chapters of the book did not leave me with the same feeling.

I just finished reading this book. This one is really different. There was a character on CSI named Sqweegel this was a frightening killer who wore a white latex suit and moved like a double jointed semblance of a spider. Anyhow that is the main character in this book. Sqweegel is a level 26 serial killer. Which is the worst possible. What is really different about this book besides being scary is that you are given a password to a website and shown a three minute film to watch online every few chapters or so. It fleshes out the book and makes it even better and scarier and also gives a face to each of the characters. I love the concept and loved the book. Buy it you wont be disappointed!
